Due to the continuous growth of Metal X Radio and to all the new listeners that we pick up each day, we here at Metal X Radio thought it might be good to put up a blog explaining who we are and what we're about.

MUSIC
Metal X Radio is a HUGE supporter of local/unsigned bands. We deal with thousands of bands who want us to play their music on our station. We live by this rule: if you send us your mp3's to our submissions email or hand us a cd and tell us to play it, we will play it. We let the listeners be the judges of whether your music is amazing or piss poor. If your recording is bad, we still play it.... but we do snicker about it, as I'm sure the fans do too. Still, our mission statement is to help those lesser known bands become well-known. For all bands who want their music played on Metal X Radio, all you have to do is email mp3's to: submissions@metalxradio.com and we'll put it on the air.

"THE RING" (CHATROOM)
Metal X Radio has a chatroom. This has become a place for friends to come and hang out while listening to some of the best live dj's on the net (live shows usually start around 6pm each night). The chatroom is uncensored and we do not prohibit anyone from saying anything in this chatroom. If you are a sensitive soul and don't like to hear certain things, this is what I recommend: either get a thicker skin and relax or avoid the chatroom. The chatroom has all sorts of people in it... the more diverse the better, and we want you to be in it as well! People get in there and talk about everything from the weather, golfing, sex, parties they went to, and whether or not they like the current song that is playing on Metal X Radio. Our chatroom friends are great band critics, and we love it! If you are offended in the chatroom, Metal X takes no responsibility for this. You went in on your own accord, therefore you have to deal with the natural consequences of that. You can private message the person who pissed you off and deal with them. Also, ANYTHING TYPED IN THE CHATROOM IS FAIR GAME to be read by one of the Dj's on the air. So, if you don't want it announced live on the air that you enjoy smacking your wife around, I wouldn't type it. Just giving you fair warning We don't read chatroom talk often, but sometimes we do so be warned! It's usually hilarious and we love it! We hope you all come hang with us in the chatroom because it's always a fun time!

NIGHTLY LIVE SHOWS WITH OUR AWESOME DJ'S
Each night, we have live Dj's on the air generally starting at about 6pm (see the show schedule on the myspace page or at www.metalxradio.com - click on schedule in the left hand navigation bar). Our Dj's are uncensored and have only 1 restriction: they cannot make racist comments. Everything else is fair game. Our Dj's are fun and really know how to bring life to the station. I am grateful for every one of them. This being said, if you are one of those sensitive types who gets offended easily, maybe Metal X is not for you. We take everything in stride and try to enjoy life and make the best of it... and we LOVE music and enjoy sharing it with the grand masses. If you are offended by one of our Dj's, Metal X takes no responsibility for this either. You know what you're getting into if you jump on our page... it's an experience like no other and each Dj adds his/her own spark to the life of the station. I will not fire a Dj because he/she made fun of women drivers and that made you mad because you're a woman and a driver and blah blah blah. Sit back, smile, relax, and enjoy the hilarious antics of our staff!

KIDS AND METAL X RADIO
If you have a child who listens to Metal X, be aware that he/she may hear something that you do not approve of. It is up to you, the parent, to monitor your children while they are listening to Metal X Radio during the live show hours. During the day, DJ X bring you only music, so kids who want to just listen to music can do that. Again, live shows do not start until 6pm, so your children can listen to awesome music 7 days a week until 6pm without worrying about whether or not they will hear something you do not like. If you allow your child to listen to the live shows and he/she becomes offended, Metal X is not responsible for this. Do not email me and tell me that you're upset because little Sally heard DJ Lexus talking about having a threesome with Soil (she plays the Thursday Threesomes every Thursday). Metal X will be happy to email you back and let you know that you should be monitoring your child's internet usage if you are concerned about what he/she will see or hear on the internet. Bad things are everywere folks, and it's your job as parent to monitor that, not our job to censor our station to accomodate you because you're too busy to watch your child.

That's it for now, metal heads! If we have any future issues that need addressed, we will add it here so everyone is aware. I will also be adding a disclaimer page to the Metal X Radio website as well. Keep the metal loud and the horns high!
